How I will watch Game 4 of the World Series

Today is my turn in the main press box in Texas, which actually isn’t that great. The third row of seats in Arlington gives you this view of the field…

Yes, that’s kinda crummy. Apparently the fine folks in Texas who designed this press box didn’t think it was important to actually be able to see the whole field. It’s OK, though. I won’t complain. Hall of Fame writer Tracy Ringolsby is sitting two seats over from me, so if this seat is good enough for him, it’s good enough for me.
My seat yesterday was out in the aux box, which is where it will be again tomorrow. It’s actually a pretty good setup out there. You can see the whole field, except for left field. (When Pat Burrell made that catch against the fence in Game 3, I only knew what happened from the crowd reaction. Then I saw the replay.)

Anyway, enough about me. I’m sure you don’t really care about what I’m doing. You just want to read about the Giants.
Well, last night there were a couple big topics with the Giants, and I wrote about both of them. First was the Jonathan Sanchez issue. Dave Righetti said he’s gassed and has lost velocity, so the Giants aren’t sure they want him to pitch Game 7, if the Series gets there. I think the Giants must really have to hope that doesn’t happen. If it does, I think their only option is to send him out there with a very short leash, and have Madison Bumgarner (on three days rest) ready to go for a couple innings. And maybe Tim Lincecum (on two days rest) for an inning. Pretty much the same recipe the Giants used for Game 6 in Philadelphia. Heck, they beat the Phillies and Roy Oswalt doing that, so there’s always a chance.
The second issue is Pat Burrell. He is clearly lost right now, but I don’t think the Giants have any choice but to start him again today. (By the time you read this, we’ll probably know if he is starting or not. I haven’t seen the lineup yet.)
Personally I would start him, for reasons I gave in this little post-Game 3 video. You can also watch this video in which he broke down some of the issues from Game 3.
I’m expecting the Giants to win Game 4 tonight. Tommy Hunter hasn’t pitched that well in his two postseason starts. Madison Bumgarner has been better, for the most part, except he seemed to run out of gas in his last inning in Game 4 against the Phillies.
I think the Giants win tonight, lose Game 5 to Cliff Lee and win the series behind Matt Cain in Game 6 in San Francisco.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

So, even after an atrocious outing last week, Lee still walks on water but Lincecum’s marginal outing means he’s done? The Giants aren’t afraid of Lee. And the Giants have proven twice they can clinch on the road. Think they can’t make it three in a row?
