Travelogue, Day 20: Pictures of Yankee Stadium

Those of you who are my Facebook friends have already seen these, but in case you aren’t, here are some pictures of Yankee Stadium.
Our tour begins, as it should, in the press box. On the left is the media dining room, where many reporters who didn’t get seats in the main box, right, were camped out. I am currently in the media work room, still debating whether to go out to the aux box for the game. Pictures of that are below.

Continuing with the tour, out to Monument Park, beyond the center field fence.

And now, into the Yankee museum, which is just one big room with some displays. I was hoping to see all 26 World Series trophies, but they only had the four most recent. The Derek Jeter Era, as they called it. They also have a display that allegedly has a signed ball from everyone who has ever been a Yankee, but it didn’t look like that many to me. This picture is amusing because Reggie Jackson is right next to Tony Womack.

And now, up to the top. The Aux Box is located in the top 1o or 12 rows of the upper deck in the farthest corner of right field. Gotta displace only the fans who paid the least for tickets. The tables were all wet when I ventured out there earlier, but they are supposedly dry now. Still not sure if I’m gonna go out there.

That’s the quick tour. I didn’t get back to the spot with the Steinbrenner statue. I’ll try to get there tomorrow.
