The Moneyball movie is back on

They are going to try again to make Moneyball a movie.

It looks like they are going to take the Steven Zaillian script, which was entertaining, and have Aaron Sorkin (of West Wing fame) re-write it, presumably to address some of the authenticity issues.

As I wrote before, I think the Zaillian script was pretty good, just not accurate. I think it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with this time. Hopefully the script will leak again, but I assume that only happens to rejected scripts.

That definitely seems the best route. Soderbergh seemed an odd choice for this project anyway.

Hopefully the dialogue won’t get to “Sorkiny” which looks good on paper and sounds interesting but isn’t how normal people talk at all. That was especially true on Sports Night.
