The thing when he announced A-Rod taking the opt-out in his contract during Game 4 of the World Series was a classic example. I know he's a very smart guy, so I'm puzzled why he says so many thing that make him and his clients look bad.

I was hoping to get a couple more responses in addition to yours Jeff, but oh well. I hear what you're saying, and definitely know we're you're coming from, the things Boras says really are from a different reality than what we all live in. I just think it's calculated to align with his clients and his own interests, so I guess I do think he really thinks about what he says publicly. I just wish less people would listen to it, but it's not his fault they do...

I don't hate Boras. I think he's very good at his job. I just think he needs to think a little more about what he says publicly.

Just realized I overused "it's his job" a little bit...oh well. I also just thought of the Pedro Alvarez situation, which was a bit of a scum move on Boras' part, but it's the only one I can really think of off the top of my head.

I'm sorry, but I really don't see all the animosity towards Boras. Dude is doing his job, and he does it well. Of course he spews BS all over the place, but that's his job (and he probably realizes how ridiculous most of his arguments are). The thing is, it's his job to do that, and it's not like anyone is forcing us or baseball decision makers to listen to any of it. So overall, I'm indifferent to Boras.

I'm curious, why do you guys hate Boras so much?
