Giambi on A-Rod

Just talked to Jason Giambi at the big Comcast luncheon about A-Rod. I’ll post more later, but he said he had no idea he had used steroids.
He also said A-Rod will be better off for admitting it. Giambi said it was the best thing he ever did.
Wait, what? Did Jason Giambi give a different interview than the ambiguous, evasive “apology” he issued that never actually used the word “steroids”? I remember when Giambi had that press conference, he was roundly criticized for being so vague. Have we retroactively determined it to be full contrition?
