Will Clark announcement on Wednesday

The Giants will make an announcement regarding Will Clark on Wednesday morning. New managing general partner Bill Neukom is scheduled be on the conference call with Will the Thrill. Given Neukom’s presence, I doubt it’s to announce that Clark is going to be the Giants’ roving minor league hitting instructor.

I’m guessing it’s to announce a Will Clark Day sometime this year, or that he’s been hired back to the organization as some sort of ambassador/public speaker. Retiring his number seems like a bit much (he’s no Hall of Famer), but you never know.

Or maybe they’re going to bring him back and have him start one last game so he can retire as a Giant?

Nah, too gimmicky, the Giants would never do that. Oh, wait…

seeing is how I have a severe man crush in The Thrill, this posting could not have made me any happier. Can’t wait to meet him for the first time at Fan Fest.

Just keep him away from Burris, Lewis, Velez and Winn and everything will be all right.
