A weekly look at stuff other than baseball…
I love my iPhone, probably more than a man should love any single piece of technology. I wonder how I lived without it. I use mine for email and internet much more than I use it as a phone. I can even blog with it. I also use the maps function, the mp3 player and even the video player.
I use it so much that one day my 5-year-old asked me if my iPhone could tell me if his little buddy was home from school yet.
I also happen to really get a kick out of finding new and useful — or simply new and fun — iPhone apps.
It’s amazing the apps that are out there. One day I was sifting through and stumbled upon this unbelievable program…
It’s called Baby Tracker: Diapers.
On to other things…
- Last week I mentioned that I was now friends with Scott Eyre on Facebook. Well, I asked Noah Lowry to be my Facebook friend, and he blew me off. That’s it for him. I’m not letting him copy my math homework anymore.
- Most underrated sitcom of all time: WKRP in Cincinnati. I just set the ‘ol DVR to snag it whenever it shows up on reruns. Speaking of which, just discovered they are showing The PJs on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. That’s probably the best show ever that got canceled after 39 episodes.
- Even though Barack Obama has been in office for five days now and still hasn’t managed to fix the economy or get me a new job, I give him credit for two things. First, he remains a White Sox fan, and dislikes the Cubs. Some politicians take that “I represent everyone so now I’m neutral” attitude. Bah! Second, he’s a poker player.
- By the way, I’m gonna throw a little poker tip of the week in here, just because, you know, it’s my blog: When you bet or raise, you have two ways to win the hand, when you call, you only have one. Think about it.
